During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Idol Makers handled merchandise for its acts through Idol Makers Merchandise. It was part of the wider Idol Makers Management operation.
The major merchandise companies of the time either declined to work on the tours or asked for percentages that made the deals impractical. Idol Makers took the work on itself.
Idol Makers manufactured the merchandise in Detroit and drop shipped it to tour stops.
